I am a digital audio producer, editor, mixing engineer, and open-format DJ based in London (UK).

The broad spectrum of my long-time music/audio collection (on cassette tapes, vinyl records, CDs, and audio digital files) defines the musical influences that have enriched the spectrum of Oriente Star Sound's audio output. It ranges from classical, Latin, jazz, funk-soul, disco, Afro, Caribbean, and tropical grooves to mainstream, urban, and contemporary electronic music.

Since 1998, my passion for sound technology inspired me to study audio production courses in London such as PC Maintenance and Computing Studies, All Elements of Studio Engineering—Foundation Course, Sound Design and Music Technology, and higher education degrees—BSc (Honours) in Music Technology and MA in Audio Production.

 

I have produced the sound for various audio visual projects including the East End Film Festival 2016's animated sting and the short film "Demons"  to mention a few.

Throughout the years, I have gained valuable practical experience recording, editing and mixing audio (mainly in the box). I am proficient using a hybrid (analog-digital) setup.

I have a solid catalogue of DJ mixes, radio shows, and livestream DJ-shows uploaded on Mixcloud. Some of these uploads have reached top places in Mixcloud's charts.

I developed an urban Latin style I coined bashylongo—a Cuban timba/timbatón's derivative. 

 

I am constantly working in the production of inspiring projects elevating Oriente Star Sound's output perspective to higher dimensions.
